February 2 – Groundhog Day
Will Punxatawny Phil see his shadow on 2/2/22? This popular North American tradition is observed in the United States and Canada each year on February 2. Superstition says that when a groundhog (aka Phil) emerges from his burrow and sees his shadow, he will retreat to his den and winter will persist for six more weeks; if he does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early. Fingers crossed that we’ll be in for an early spring!
