Memories of Annalise Campri Chapter one 

 The adults towered over the crib. They were a man and a woman. To the baby named Annalise they seemed like giants.The woman will long, choppy red hair and brown eyes touched the baby’s light brown hand with her pale own. "I think she's the one,Delmer." She said to the black haired, green eyed man next to her. "Are you sure about this, Shanelle? You're already pregnant." Shanelle glared at her husband. "Yes, I'm sure ." This was how, at five months old - Annalise got adopted. It was clear she wasn't biologically related to her mom and dad. She had light brown skin ,curly dark brown hair and eyes that matched it. But that didn't matter. She was still Annalise Gwendolyn Campri . Yes, in those few months before her sibling's birth, she was the center of Shanelle and Delmer's life. Delmer more so , as he stayed at home while Shanelle worked. July 15th was Annalise's birthday. It was a small party with just her and her parents. A chocolate cake with one unlit candle was placed in front of her. Delmer took pride in baking it himself instead of relying on store bought. He got out a match and lit the candle.
