I know I’m late commenting here, but I’m really sorry for your loss. I know what it’s like to lose a pet, and I’m sure Cookie would be touched to know how much she did for you.

I had a similar experience, I had a leopard gecko and her intestines were clogged and she had a parasite, we were on our way to the vet when she died, it was pouring rain (of corse 😂) so we built her a box that we put her in and buried then we put daffodils on top
