I absolutely adore the vintage comic book theme! Firstly, I love the muted colours of the individual comic scenes as that is my personal favourite colour scheme and I find that it works really well with the classic black outline and detailing in the illustrations. Despite the faded shades, there is an abundance of colour which in my opinion, always makes a collage very enjoyable to look at. Reinforcing the interest of this collage is the complexity of the comic scenes. Each one seems to have its own unique focal point and when those elements are put together, it makes for an effortlessly intriguing background. The finishing touch is the ripped paper and crack overlays covering the entirety of the background. It adds to the nostalgic vibe the vintage cartoon theme exhibits by giving it that ‘worn-down’ appearance which I believe is an attentive detail! Overall, I think the chosen theme for this collage is not only original and cohesive but also suits the tone of the poem this was crafted for ♡
