I meant to tell y'all about this really neat dude I met at the airport about a week ago, he was obviously gay (can I say that without offending someone probably not) and we talked for a while and I don't remember how we got there but I said something about having a pretty low self esteem and he told me that it took him a while to finally feel confident in himself but he knew that I would get there at some point and that was rooting for me. He told me this long story about how he was bullied all the way through high school and it wasn't until college that he found a group of good friends he could be himself with. He said something along the lines of "I wish I hadn't cared so much about what other people thought back then, I would have been a whole lot happier, and I want you to know that what others think about you really doesn't matter, if you're happy, that's all that counts"

Naw man. I'm gay and we gay people have a tendency to "camp up" our gayness by exaggerating certain stereotypical parts of ourselves so that the whole world knows we're gay.
