in guard there are a few common pieces of equipment: flag, rifle (wooden ofc), and sabre (also not real lol). i spin flag but i tried to learn rifle once and it is not for me lol

that's so cool that your mom spun the baton! that equipment is seen more often in college-level guards than high school so that's super impressive!

also because i'm in guard, we have loooong practices and i bring a gallon water bottle, that's how i drink water during the day, but you should try setting reminders on your phone to drink water or even carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go so you'll always have it nearby!
