honestly needed those boosts but the situation isn’t that bad/ what you think it is, she’s generally very nice, always joking, caring but when it comes to these things (outings) she’s so reluctant to say yes it’s as if she doesn’t trust my friends or the situation I’m in or I’m hiding a but t load of things behind her back

I think she sees my school life and social circle as ‘popular’ but that’s completely wrong. it’s so wrong, because I’m not. and I think she portrays teens as this angsty lying emotional puff of smoke, and before/ after that period you can be trusted, but why. this ideal is so toxic bc it’s constantly being portrayed in movies etc. and if it’s affecting my insignificant out of 7.9 billion life then I can’t imagine others.
