Skylar didn’t get much rest that night, but she realized that it was Cara’s 18th Birthday. Then she realized she didn’t even get her anything.

Cara woke up, shaking. she had a horrid dream. but she was 18 now, like that made a difference. she lie there, not wanting to get up at all today.

She groaned, and plopped right back on her bed.

She honestly couldn’t believe her half sister was already eighteen. Her sixteenth birthday was next week.

Ace woke up tired and unsettled.

She k ew it was Caras birthday, so she just got her a necklace. She knew Cara still didn’t lie, her but that didn’t matter.

Skylar didn’t know if Cara was awake, or not, but she thought of the perfect gift. So, she snuck out of the cabin.

Ace got dressed and showered.

She went out and there was a table set up for her birthday. She placed her gift on the table, it wasn’t the best wrapping but it was fair,y okay.

Ace waved back, she was surprised that Dorothy still liked her.

She wrote her name on the wrapping saying it was from her. After that she decided that she was going to go clean up dishes from last night.

Skylar went to Cabin 9, and got a special bracelet made with a lighting strike on it. It turned into a dagger. She saw that there was a table outside, quickly wrapped it, and placed it on the table.

“No I don’t think so” Ace said. She laughed. For once she felt that someone did like her,

“But I do think your supposed to show you camp spirt!” Ace said joyfully.

Skylar went to go train for a little bit. She started slicing dummies with her new knife.

“I’m gonna go clean the dishes, I guess I’ll see you around” Ace said, she then left to the mess hall’s kitchen

“I stay here all year.” Ace said.

Cara rolled around in bed, and checked her phone. she had messages, from her mom, which was odd, because she was still dealing with her dîvorce, from Olympus, which was also odd, and from her brother, that he sent her three years ago. she never deleted that one. she kept her phone in her cabin at all time, and rarely used it.

“Yup, can’t wait for yours, gotta think a suprise for you” Ace smiles and then left.

After a while, she put her dagger away, and just took a walk around the camp.

Ac went over to the mess hall’s kitchen. It was pretty neat, but there was dishes everywhere.

She goes to get some breakfast from the mess hall. She sat down at her table, and drank a smoothie.

Ace put some dishes in the sink and let them soak. She decided they need some time. Ace left the kitchen and then walked around.

She went back to her cabin, and saw that Cara was awake, “Happy Birthday!” she said.

She got some breakfast, she had a waff,e and some strawberries.

Cara finally rolled out of bed, but didn't want to go outside. she didn't want people saying "happy birthday" because this day wasn't at all happy, and no one understood that besides her brother. it hurt to think about him, but also comforted her, knowing he was smiling at her from Isles of the Blest. he'd been reborn, and she was so proud when he did.

"thanks.." she muttered, and smiled slightly. she couldn't push EVERYONE out. maybe just keep Skylar in.

Ace went out of the kitchen, she scanned the camp. There wasn’t much people out. There was a cake in the kitchen for Cara. She decorated it, she put some sprinkles to spell out Cara. She wrote Happy Birthday with some frosting. For a split second she thought if she really wanted to do this, Yes she thought. She put the cake in the freezer to chill.

“You’re welcome,” Skylar said. She knew that Cara didn’t really like her birthday, but she didn’t know the reason.

Skylar took down her hair for the first time in forever. She didn’t really like having her hair down, but she just decided too.

“I’m not sure...” Skylar said, “This was already set up when I woke up,” she admitted.

"alright.." she stood up, "I can't wait until tomorrow, where this day is over." she walked out of the cabin.

“It will be okay,” Skylar said, placing her hand on her shoulder.

Cara saw all of the gifts and decoration. she sighed. she appreciated it, but she hated her birthday.

She cleaned up the dishes and left the kitchen. She went for a walk, it was a nice crisp weather. The table was set up nicely for Caras birthday. She organized it, making everything fit perfectly. Even though Cara might not like her, actually not like her, she might as well do something to make her have a good birthday. She had party hats and balloons later out for others to hold and wear.

Skylar started to cut the cake, and passing it out to everyone. Sge wondered who did all of this in the first place.

Skylar looked at Ace. It was so nice of her, but what if she was trying to poison them? Skylar believed it was just something nice, and passed out the cake.

Ace finished her slice of cake, she left the group knowing she wasn’t a part of the, anymore. She went to the shore, and sat there skipping stones. Everyone was having fun, and she didn’t want to ruin it.

Ace sat in the tree, before she knew it she fell asleep. A person or something was chasing her, and she couldn’t stop looking back. It started to ramble so,e words, which she thought was nonsense. She awoke by hitting her head against a branch. “Ow” she mumbled as she got up. She rubbed her head. a few times before letting out a cough. She sat ina better position before, and looked out.

So can everyone else,”

Ace climbed down the tree, but fell halfway down. She grunted. She fell on her sides she was gonna have to get that checked sooner or later. She got up, running her back. She was covered in dirt, and leaves. There was leaves in her hair, but she didn’t really walked back to her cabin slowly. She overheard what Skylar had said. She didn’t care anymore if Skylar liked her or not, that was the least thing she cared about. She entered her cabin, her cabin was a huge mess. There was clothes and papers everywhere. She knew they would have cabin check. Ashe tidied it up to the best of her ability and sat down on her bed. She tried massaging her back from her fall.

“Dorothy, we all had to wait to go on the missions and these journeys, but life goes quickly. Enjoy it while you can,”

Dorothy did have a point, but Dorothy didn’t know war like she did. Skylar waved back to Jessica.

Jessica:*she opens her door and walks in and grabs her laptop to look on her Fathers company website well it was her’s now.*

She remembered the first war. It took place around her fourteenth birthday, and there were also spies and traitors. Some of them did do the right thing at the end, but some of them didn’t. They slayed all of her half-siblings, and she had trust issues after that.

Jessica:*sighs she couldn’t handle her Dad’s company but she needed to her father would want her to*

Ace didn’t seem like she was anywhere in sight. She was sure Dorothy didn’t have anything to say to her. She didn’t know where anyone else either.

She just saw Jessica, but she disappeared. She really did want to say something to Ace.

She scribbled a random note, and shoved it into Poseidon Cabin, Dear Ace, I want to talk to you for a little bit. You probably don’t want anything to do with me at this point, but we need to talk. -Skylar. It said.

Jessica:*she sent the note off to her Dad’s lawyer and walks back to the campfire and sharpens her Axe*

Skylar just sat down near a tree. She twirled around her knife with no purpose.

Jessica:*Her Father’s funeral was next week she was still debating between going or not. She was noticing she wasn’t herself like Trent had said earlier she was never going to be the same*

Skylar knocked on Dorothy’s door, “Dorothy you’re right, if you can forgive Ace, why can’t I?” she asked before walking away. She really didn’t need more enemies at this point.

Jessica:Whatever*she says to herself* Get over it! You knew this day was coming man up and go to the funeral!!!*

Ace read the note, she smiled, but it quickly turned to a frown. Skylar hated Ace. And that was a fact. She riped the note up, and threw it out the window. She turned to Lauren. “Uh yes?” Ace said.

Skylar saw Ace, she knocked on the door. “Ace please...”

Lauren:You know what never mind.

“Skylar, why do you decide to talk to me? You didn’t talk to me for a while. Why start now?” Ace said. The door was still complete shut. She left Lauren in the cabin, while she crawled out the back window. Her back still hurt, but she continued with it. She took her two swords with her. She escaped back into the forest, not wanting to be seen.

“Because I’m ready to forgive you now,” she said calmly, “I needed time.”

“No she shouted she was out the window, she was heading towards the forest.

“Ace please,” she yelled back.

Ace didn’t respond, she was well into the forest, She had heard Skylar, but it was so very distant. She sat beneath a tree, and started practicing her hits on the tree. She was asking all her anger out on the trees.

Skylar ran up to the forest, but she couldn’t find her. She sighed, and just headed back to her cabin. She was trying to put some effort towards it, but she wasn’t like Dorothy. She couldn’t just forgive, and she tried that several times including with Ace that day.

(This is seriously how I think this is going to go. When Ace is finally ready to talk to Skylar, Skylar won’t be ready anymore. When Skylar is ready again, Ace won’t be. I bet that’s going to keep happening on and on and on....😂)

Jessica:*sighs she had barely gotten any sleep lately she has been stressed ,depressed, and tired.

Skylar sat back against the tree, and just laid there.

Jessica:*she walks up to Skylar seeing her* Hey what’s wrong?

“Well, Dorothy asked me to forgive Ace, but i told her I couldn’t right now. So she ran off, and then I went to try and apologize, but Ace ran off,” she looks at Jessica, “Are you okay?” she asked.

Jessica:Oh well that’s complicated....I am fine.

“Are you sure? I know we don’t know each other that well, but if you ever need anyone to talk to, I’m here,”

Jessica:It’s just family issues...

“What happened? And it’s okay if you don’t want to say anything. I get it. Time is sometimes what we all need,”

Ace finally gave up at hacking the tree so she went back to her cabin, she made sure Skylar was nowhere in sight. When she finally wasn’t, she ran back to her cabin. She went on her bunk and fell asleep.

She went to her cabin, and plopped on her bed. She didn’t feel ready to talk to Ace anymore. She thought she was ready, but then she realized you couldn’t rush those things. She was sad to say when Ace was ready to talk, she may wouldn’t be. She plopped onto her bed, and fell asleep. Why.

Skylar woke up. It was another day to deal the aftermath of the war. She woke up, and got dressed. Chloe didn’t seem awake, but she wasn’t sure. She went over to the mess hall, and went to her table.

She wanted to talk to Dorothy about yesterday. She wanted to explain how she wasn’t her. Dorothy seemed much easier to talk to then Ace.

Skylar saw Chloe, “Hey,” she said, with a small smile.

Skylar started eating her breakfast when she saw Dorothy. Skylar waved her over.

Skylar thought to talk to Dorothy later, “So what are you doing today?” Skylar asked Chloe.

Normally she would train or run, but today she didn’t feel like it. She was pretty bored as well. Skylar hated being contained, and that’s how she was now. She left all of her weapons in her cabin except for one single knife, and headed out from her cabin. She sat by the fire.

Jessica:*she got up and walked to the fire and threw all the letter she had gotten into the fire she just wanted to forget but how?*

Skylar looked at the sky. Thunder rumbled. Her dad seemed angry about something. She needed something to do, a distraction.

Jessica:*she had remembered a memory when she was 14 she went to go to visit her dad after school like she always had she wanted to visit during the summer but with the whole Kronos thing she couldn’t she regrets her fast thinking she never got to see her Dad again*

She stood in her cabin for a few more minutes before she left just to go look
