i just faced my fear of being afraid of my grandmother's dog my entire life and my family isn't reacting as well as i thought they would. we actually let him inside for once inside of being on the porch. every holiday and family get together i felt like such a burden bc i kept the poor guy outside in the heat or the cold on the porch by himself. today instead of then moving him into the kitchen with a baby gate we let him inside all together and i actually gathered up courage to inch my way towards him and i eventually sat on the floor w him and pet him. i haven't been that close to him since i held him as a puppy, and i was terrified of him then. he's one of the reasons i take lexapro every night and i actually confronted the big guy and my family is sort of brushing it off as nothing. except for emma. i thought my mom would be way more proud of me
