i think my friend and i are going on a little girls trip but other than that not really, you?

i was originally a lit student- i had no clue what i wanted to do so i just chose literature to study- one of the classes was on an ancient greek playwright called euripides && i absolutely fell in love with him, so i went researching about him andd the world at his time and ended up falling down an ancient times rabbit hole :) but i’m glad because now i’m 100% sure that this is what i wanna do! - what kinda business is it?

you’re like the first person i’ve ever met who’s known who euripides is oh my god 🥹 but yes- a playwright, but also the best tragedian ever but you can’t even get me started on him or i will actually write a whole essay for you :’) but you’re right, it’s medea :) but you pretty much sound like his errand boy so i’m curious as to what you’re actual job is x

you took a lit course? omg i think i love you 🥲 but she kills her children in revenge for her husband not being the greatest husband thinking it’ll make them equal i guess. medea definitely is up there with my favourites but if you ever find yourself wanting a short read- read hippolytus or alcestis. their some of his least popular pieces of work but oh my god.. there’s a few lines in hippolytus that just absolutely take my breath away every time. especially for a man to be writing these kind of.. female empowerment? in a way stories at his time where women weren’t even allowed in theatres to see these plays

but you really do just sound like his errand boy then 🤭 you should get paid extra for that

aww, i’m such a big bookworm, the only thing i do in my spare time is read. i’ve read 78 books this year 🤭🤭 but now i wanna know some of your favourite books x
