I think, after Lucius was sent to Azkaban and Draco became a Death Eater and was ordered to kill Dumbledore, Narcissa realised that the family had got themselves into a hole they couldn't get out of. You can tell by the way Voldemort and the other Death Eaters treat them that they're looked down on now. When the war really picks up though, it all came down to Draco's safety and she even put her own life at risk by saying that Harry was dead even though she knew he wasn't. So yeah... I really like her!
