Skylar and Gracie stood by Wolf Cabin welcoming the campers. Skylar was one of the counselors, and Gracie was just a helper. Even though Hunter was a counselor, he was playing sports with his friends. *sighs*

Charles realized he need to be at his cabin he headed up to horse cabin and sat on the front steps.
Chloe walks in skipping around with her bags.
Spencer had finished unpacking her stuff, and putting on her counselor t-shirt. then, she headed to the entrance of camp to wait for her best friends. In the meantime, she helped other campers. “Horse cabin? Right over there!” “I’m Spencer, nice to meet you. I’ll be your Wolf cabin counselor. I you ever need anything, just come to me!” “We’ll go canoeing and swimming and lots of fun stuff!”
“Gracie and Skylar are here!” Spencer exclaimed and ran over to the Wolf cabin, almost tackling them.

“Spencer!” Gracie exclaimed, leaving Skylar to deal with the many campers. Skylar turned around and smiled. She missed her friend.

Hunter put up his football and finally decided to help people get settled in Bear Cabin.
A girl came up to her, asking her where Bear cabin was. “Oh, it’s right over there,” she said pointing to her right.

As everyone unpacked and filed into their cabins, the moon rised over them. “ALRIGHT CAMPERS! ITS BONFIRE TIME!” Skylar shouted over the camp
“Oh, no! You’ve switched cabins! Looks like you’re in Eagle! Right over there!” she said pointing to her left.

Chloe looks at her nails she felt unsafe here something was going to happen. “No your just insane Chlo.” she mutters to herself as she watches the fire crackle.
A frown developed on Gracie’s face. She looked like words were on the tip of her tongue, but she kept her mouth shut

Jessica looks at everyone reading them as she stirs her tea they were all strange.
Skylar clapped for her friend, but Gracie just seemed very...different then her normally cheery self.
Jessica smiles and claps so does Chloe. Both Chloe and Jessica were close friends since they were both 3 their parents were friends she remembers how they used to play pranks on the maids.
Hunter stood up. “Welcome to Camp Highborn! (see next collage) There will be a competition like every year. Good luck to all! The first event will be tonight,”
Clueless, Charles looked around, “uhh what are we doing” he asks shyly
“oh okay” Charles said as he heard Hunter talk

Charles ran toarwads the lake with the others, he saw a girl looking lost, deciding to socialize he said, “come on! we’re going canoeing” he grabbed her hand and pulled her along

Jessica hops into a empty Canoe with Chloe. “Sorry about what happened last year.” Jessica says as hey both grab the paddles and start rowing.
Spencer pulled Gracie and Skylar into a canoe, tossed Gracie a paddle, and started paddling.
“It’s fine” Chloe says softly as she continues to paddle away from shore. “I’m sorry my parents killed your brother.” Jessica says. Chloe looks up at Jessica. “It’s not your fault Jake is dead.”
Gracie started to paddle, but she later whispered something to Spencer. She seemed upset and guilty, Skylar didn't know what was going on.

They paddled down the river for a while, talking and laughing and smiling. Spencer was glad she’d gotten away from.... them. She was so happy to be at camp with her best friends, but... they... still haunted her. She wished she could stay at camp forever.

“I’m not sure,” Skylar admitted. “She was just swimming around here a moment ago,” she said, looking around for her missing friend.

The truth was Gracie went to tell Spencer about something she discovered. She swam to shore, but never made it out of the water. For a split second you could hear her screams, but then all went quiet. It looks like Gracie was taken this important info to the grave, wherever she was.
Charles went around the canoe when he stopped and joined the others
“what’s happened to Gracie?” Charles asked since everyone around asked the same question
“We don’t know...” Skylar mumbled. She was concerned. Gracie was like a sister to her. “We’ll find her,” Hunter then said, taking charge, “She probably is around here somewhere,”

“What happened to Gracie?! Someone find her!” Spencer said and dove back into the water. She popped up later and dove back down again. She did this for a while, before sure she’d covered the whole piece of the lake they were in.
Then, Spencer Layne, started crying. It wasn’t like her to cry, she didn’t even cry when... they... tortured her. But that was physical pain. This was emotional pain, something Spencer wasn’t good at containing.
“we’ll find her” Charles said trying to sound confident, “everyone try searching the grounds!” Charles shouted before he dove into the water to look if Gracie was there somewhere
“god where is she” Charles mumbled, he dived once again under water.
“GRACIE!” Skylar shouted, “GRACIE!” she quieted down almost to a whisper, “Gracie...?” Hunter dove down and swam to shore trying to see if she was there. Maybe this was all a prank.
Chloe walks up Skylar. “What’s wrong?”

“Is someone lost in the water?” Chloe asks as she blows her whistle. “EVERYONE OUT OF THE LAKE.” Chloe yells over and over.

the next day, Spencer barely talked. it was still coming as a shock to her that her best friend, Gracie, was gone. the only one who understood what she was going through. the only one supporting her, was gone.
Chloe sighs after 3 hours of a water surface search the Lifeguard staff still couldn’t find Gracie. Chloe puts her hand over her forehead. “People Can’t Just disappear like that Jess.” Chloe says to Jessica.
Spencer case to check on the water search. “Any luck?” she asked.

Chloe shakes her head. “Sorry no sign of anyone drowning.”
“Or Anyone Alive.”
“Well, if she’s not in the water, she must have washed up somewhere, or.... maybe she was kidnapped! They could’ve taken her anywhere!” Spencer said, eyes growing wide.
“If I were a kidnapper, where would I take someone to never be found?........” Spencer thought.
“I think she’s dead and he current carried her to shore somewhere else.” Chloe says. “We will be Telling everyone later.” Chloe says picking up a towel and drying herself off.
“Chloe, I know this might sound crazy, but I can feel.... she’s alive. I just know she is. So I refuse to give up hope and I can’t let you tell the campers she’s dead when she might be alive.” Spencer turned and stalked off.
“Spencer it’s been 24 hours we have to call her dead I’m sorry.” Chloe says nodding to the Lifeguard staff.
“Do we really want to tell everyone that a camper was killed and there is a murderer somewhere in this camp? For all we know, the murderer could’ve been you, if you’re so quick to call her dead!” Spencer yelled. She turned around and went back to camp, slamming the door to the Wolf cabin. She sat down on her bed and started to cry.
