@caption: I relate so much 😅 i noticed it in my creative writing class when any time I tried to write something, I always spun it to become a tragedy. 🫠 super profound thing that I’ve been thinking since then was how I think my brain automatically assumes that everything is going to end poorly ?? when things relationship wise go right my brain physically can’t comprehend it, so even when I try to collage about the good things, I always spin it to be sad 😆🙈 I THINK THATS WHATS HAPPENING?? I’m not sure. I did at one point say “it’s impossible to write a happy ending if you don’t believe in one” — which I think is an extreme of the depths of my brain… but…

haha when I first said it out loud I thought it was very poetic, but then I thought about it and realized how dark and deep thst might’ve been lmÄo

I’ve definitely been trying to mend the mindset for sure. I pinpointed it down to a pessimistic mindset about relationships, and now I’m just sorting through why I have this aversion to it ! We’ll see how it goes 😤

I also do agree with dramatic poems flowing out more easily. kind of reminds me of the poem you wrote about how poets are just really great liars who turn situations into flowery words / beautiful tragedies
