This song is actually about Bonnie and Blanche (Clyde and Buck Barrow's lovers) singing about although it was frowned upon to continue relationships with a criminal they understand that they cannot control how they feel. Nowadays though Bonnie and Clyde are seen as an iconic couple and are well-known historical figures. My question is when will same-sex couples have the same respect as criminals? (tbh they weren't even good at committing crimes)
