it depends on what part of percussion! would you want to do front ensemble/pit or drumline?

i think it’s better if you have no experience and do drumline, because no one really knows how to play, but i still know plenty of people who have no experience in front ensemble and they did great this past year! one of the color guard girls switched and she was put on different chimes and smaller drums

no you should definitely do it! and if they put you on an easier instrument, then you can work your way up the next year :)
