omg ok so story time haha! so the vet came out today to look at my two horses and both were fine, just a little sore so one of them, Erica, needed to get injections in her front feet. so she's had these many many times cause she's now 16 or 17 years old and she has been working all her life. so anyways it was nothing new, she got her feet washed and then was drugged and put in the cross ties. so then my vet gave her the injections and left her to wake up while going onto the next horse. a little later when she was more awake, although not completely yet, he went to give her a strangles vaccine. while doing this, Erica started holding her breath. and didn't let it out. so she completely passed out and fell flat on her face, puncturing a hole in her lip with her tooth!! she got back up and was just fine but it will now take a week or so to heal. she's okay tho, she got some pain medicine and got to go back to her stall to eat and sleep and once she fully woke up from being drugged. but it was so scary for me because I wasn't even with her at the time, I was riding my other mare and just heard about it! but it's all okay...I'm exhausted now however😂 but Erica will be just fine!
