this looks great! I’m ready to start :)
Allright let's get started. I'll be treating this like an interview so get ready:)
Let's start in the beginning when did you join PC and why did you?
I actually joined pc in 2014! I don’t think anyone that currently follows me knows about that. my old username was something like “pastelbubbles” and I had about 40 followers. I remember one of my collages did get featured and it gained about 300 something likes. it was a collage of Bethany Mota who used to be my favourite YouTuber. I’ve since deleted that old acc but my featured edit is still up if you search up “Bethany mota”. getting that collage featured was definitely a proud moment for me. however, I’ve had this acc since about 2017 but I didn’t post anything. I went through several “re-brandings” like name and content changes. I settled on becoming a niche meme acc on March 25 2019.
I joined pc on accident actually. tbh I initially had no reason why I wanted to join, I was like 8 and really had no idea what I was doing. however, I re-joined pc cause I felt like it was a great community where I could share whatever I want without being criticised. that’s why I chose not to start posting on Instagram cause I felt like I would’ve gotten judged whereas on pc it felt more welcoming. other than that, I thought it would be nice to make some friends with people who have similar interests to me
I took a screenshot of my old featured collage. where would you like me to share it?
Wow you have been on here for awhile. PC is one social media app that just seems like you can always be yourself and not get judged from others. You have grown so much over the years I can tell. Now what do you think has really helped you gain your theme for your account or just what helped you get from 40 followers in your other account to 913?
I originally wanted to be an edit account like Zswaggerina. over time I lost my creative touch and I just couldn’t make an edit anymore. i still wanted to do editing of some sort so I tried doing more basic edits instead of the complex ones I used to make. around that time I discovered niche memes. I instantly liked it cause it was within the realm of editing but I didn’t have to struggle so much with the design (which is a part I really struggled with when doing simple and complex edits in the past). I also really liked how interactive they were, the viewers could share their own experiences/views. it was really popular at that time so I decided to give it a go. my first niche memes were a mess but overtime I found a style that I liked and I stuck to it! in terms of follower growth, I think a big factor of why I gained quite a lot is cause I like interacting with people, starting conversations and things like that. you can probably tell by my long as responses that I tend to have a lot to say all the time. I’m very grateful for everyone that follows me! I struggled for years to create things that I was proud of, now that I have made posts that I’m happy with, I’m just glad that others like it as well.
Wow It's amazing to read your comments. It's like you went through a stage and than it just didn't fit of who you were. Now from reading your comment I can tell and by looking at your account, but what would you say your main theme or account really about. What sets your account apart from others?
I think what sets my acc apart from others is that it’s like an open diary. You can scroll thru my posts and kinda picture what sort of person I am. I’d say my content is driven by my experiences, thoughts, opinions and personality. That’s not to say that others’ art isn’t driven by those things but when you look at my posts, it’s like a direct insight into who I am whereas looking at an edit you don’t get much of that insight into the creator. I hope I interpreted your question correctly and that I gave an adequate answer. Please tell me if I should elaborate more in certain aspects, or if I straight up misinterpreted the question :)
No your answering the questions perfectly. Your account reminds me of a life blog. I love the way you put everything together and it's neat to hear all your stories. each day you post people learn bits and parts of who you are. It's a supper cool idea. Moving on to my next question, I've been seeing a lot of people leave PC because either they loose inspiration or they don't have time anymore or they've just been here forever and they're tired of it. How do you have the time to post and comment. from reading your comment you hve been here for awhile how do you stay inspired and not tired?
I stay inspired because of the people I talk to! I never really get tired with learning more about people and growing connections with others. It’s like a motivator to stay and keep posting because I know there’s people out there who want to know more about me and are interested in what I create. For the time to post and comment, i always slot it into my free time whenever I can. I’m going to be honest and say it does take a while, but I go on pc quite a bit thru the day to always make sure that I’ve commented under everyone’s post + replied to comments. I’m not sure if the “stay inspired” question extends to how I comment on other people’s posts but in case you’d like to know, I am inspired to comment on people’s collages because I genuinely like them and showing appreciation is the least I can do. I sometimes feel like a lot of talented creators put themselves down cause they think what they create isn’t good enough. I want my comments to be encouraging to them, to let them know that someone believes they’re talented and that someone enjoys what they create. It feels really good to me when people reply and say that it does motivate them to keep creating, that’s why I don’t care how long it takes me, I’ll always make it a mission to comment under every post and reply to every comment.
Wow your committed and that's exactly why I chose you for my talk show. You put so much words when your commenting on other peoples posts. You figure the little detales in each work it's amazing. There are not a lot of people that can really look through the collage and find the pure buiety of the collage. Now if you could give one tip or advice to some of the PC users new or ones that have been for awhile what would it be?
my one advice for everyone on pc (newer and older members) is to try to interact and build friendships with other people! I’ve mentioned this quite a few times during the interview but I really do stand by it. This platform has one of the best communities on social media, people are considerate and very supportive which is great for everyone regardless if you’re just starting out or you’ve been here for a while. I’ve been on and off pc for a long time but this acc that I’m currently using is newish. When I had very little followers, what helped me stay motivated to keep posting was the little conversations I had with a few people. Even though I didn’t get much likes, at least I had like a little support group that I could talk to about not just pc related things but also a bit of my personal life. Now that I’ve stuck around on this acc for a while, it’s still that same reason that keeps me from coming back to pc everyday. I’ve made so many incredible friends on pc, one of which is now my ibf (@zkdlin ❤️). I love and appreciate everyone who follows me, takes the time to talk to me, they’re the reasons why I love this app and why I want to stay for a very long time :)
Tysm milkysugar (AKA Lia) This sums my whole interview. Thank you for answering all my questions and being so detailed. I have learned so much just in this short interview and I'm hoping everyone else will learn some new things about you. You are greatly appreciated in this community from your amazing posts to your supper supportive, loving, and caring comments I hope you know that. Keep making PC a better place!! Do you have any last comments you would like to say?
I’d like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the first person on your talk show! This was an incredibly interesting experience where I felt like I could really open up about topics that I’ve never talked about before. Thank you again for spending some of your time to talk to me :) 💗💗
No thank you Lia for sharing all that with me and everyone that sees this Interview!! I wish you the best of luck in the future and I hope your account keeps growing. Keep doing what your doing and bring smiles on everyone faces💗
