how about the main character moves to a new town and starts in a new school. the protagonist starts to fit in and find his/her friend group. one day the protagonist notices a quite boy/girl who seems like a stereotypical outcast. the protagonist feels bad for the outcast and decides to start to talk to them. the protagonist becomes friends w/ the "outcast" but once the protagonist's main friend group finds out about the friendship, they tell the protagonist that they have to choose them or the outcast. with a heavy heart, the protagonist chooses them. a few months later, her friend group stays later @ the end of school bcuz they're all going somewhere & the uber is late or something. suddenly, all the lights go off & so does the AC. Turns out that the outcast has locked them in the dark building (sun was setting while they were still there, idk lol) & there is only one door that leads to the way out. though, the outcast won't say which door. so ppl start getting killed off & there's a time limit or else everyone will die. (sry this is long; I luv horror sooooo 😈😈😈)
