no if it is living it is important. but if this living being is causing harm to others it should be killed or punished. in this case humans too.
^^^ I kinda agree with @photo-booth. every life is important as long as it is not affecting or harming other's lives. I mean we do kill insects and spiders and bugs every because they're dangerous or just annoying and scary to some. And we also punish ppl when required. So yeah...

I think it depends from which corner you see it. For example, what's an ant to us? A mouse to a lion? A duckling to an elephant and what importance has an elephant in the universe? I believe everything is relative and there is no absolute truth. Years ago (and still today in occasions) white beats black, as for philosophers virtuous rose over the rest. We are all important in our imaginary circle—but us suddenly vanishing from the cosmos? I wonder if it'd be a bit more than a blink. 💫
From a strictly scientific environmental perspective, yes. There are some pests that are literally useless within the food chain. When it comes to people, however... 🤔
Under law, all are equal, and inherently all are created or evolved equally worthy. We can, however, take on roles of differing importance. The president's actions are weightier than mine, and he'll probably have a larger impact on history than me. That said, no human life is unimportant. A person is not only a valuable resource, but valuable in and of themselves.
From an emotional standpoint it's natural to value human lives over others due to a survival instinct, and in that case many animal lives are also valued by their corresponding herds, packs, etc. but considering that only some species of animals have been shown to grieve their dead (elephants, for example) I wonder how many species do not. so when it comes to value, lives can hold it in their respective communities, but maybe not plants/insects since they don't have a functioning brain/emotional complex. i'd also like to say that the reason why humans tend to value other animal lives as well is because of our strong & empathetic emotions.
well I'm very happy that you've started to understand yourself more, that's amazing😊 and I might struggle from other things as well, as my dad has very bad anxiety and he also has OCD, my mom has anxiety as well. I had it a lot worse as a kid but now it's moved on to being more of a social thing, although I still to panic from worrying about random things from time to time. and also you're so right about that, and my family can't really afford counseling or anything so I'm starting to have regular appointments with guidance at my school, I've been to one so far and it felt so good to let it out a little bit.
miss you!! 💓🌻
