I parcially agree with this person. To be honest, why do students have to limit their reading? Each person is free to read whatever they want. I mean, if they banned innapropiate things and stuff, I wouldn't doubt on approving that it's not okay. But, hey? They ban normal books, it's totally fine. 🙌🏻✨🌿🙈

you do have a very good point, nostalgia can be dangerous for the mind and can also cause memory distortion based on your emotions telling your brain what to feel: but that's being said I also do believe that technology, at least for me, isn't a good thing. I tend to stay away from all social media (besides this one) because technology causes me anxiety and stress. I do know that the past had its complications just as the present day does, but I think I would rather deal with those of the past. I often believe that loneliness is easier to feel when the world is made of electronics rather than real objects and face to face, heart to heart conversations.

I must tell you, I had not logged into pic collage for over a month, but last night I did. And the first thing I saw was that you had "revisited" two hours before. It made me think how I missed the beautiful souls I met here and made me question why I "left". And perhaps those same souls missed me.... so how could I stay so far "out there in the world somewhere". we are all out there in the world somewhere I suppose. sometimes relatively closer than we may be lead to think. I just wanted to share this interesting coincidence and say, I missed your beautiful soul. I'm still going in circles.... and I will have to venture off into new chapters someday.... but this one had somewhat of I cliff hanger that I don't want to hang onto forever.

I go to a semi-private school and the only restriction we have is that there is a seniors fiction area which we are not allowed to read or borrow although outside of school we have absolute freedom

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to restrict students to read books the school is just limiting you from learning new things and improving your comprehension. Especially when the restricts books like the perks of being a wallflower which is one of the best books ever written

what I think you should do is write a formal complaint straight to the principal along with that get the signatures of other students and teachers that disagree with this restriction. You could even if possible get teachers to write a reference in your complaint. Also encourage students to do the same. I think that would be a more positive way to handle the situation than having an illegal library. But honestly you need to get a new principal.
